Illinois Longitudinal Data System Data Checks and Audit Procedures
Overview
As part of establishing Pre-K to college and career data systems, Illinois has instituted a Data Stewardship program that will:
- Identify Business Processes for each ISBE Center
- Reduce Data Redundancy
- Ensure Accuracy of Data Submitted
- Validations
- Provide Staff Training
- Research and Analyst
- User Training
- Lead technical assistance workshops and training in data quality and the use of data for analysis and research.
A primary goal of this effort is to build enhanced data audit procedures. These procedures will be incorporated into ISBE business rules, and will be validated through a series of edit and statistical checks to ensure the validity of data submitted by LEAs.
