August 19, 2006GRADE 11 - IAA - Sept. Training Schedule11th grade students will be tested in writing for the pilot this fall and then the writing assessment in the spring. Teachers of grade 11 IAA students need to be trained. The following information is for special education directors, teachers and administrators involved in the administering of the Illinois Alternate Assessment: All Illinois Alternate Assessment students in grades 3, 5, 6 and 8 AND 11 must participate in the new writing assessment pilot test that will be administered October 16-22, 2006. The following information is to alert teachers and administrators to the dates for the training of this new assessment. The new IAA is very different from the portfolio process and we encourage teachers to attend these workshops in order to be better prepared for this new test. Registration information is forthcoming.
