IAA - Writing Training Schedule -- January 23, 29, 30 & 31
IAA Coordinators and Teachers in Grades 5, 8 and 11

In preparation for the new IAA Writing Test in grades 5, 8 and 11 on April 2-20, 2007, ISBE and Pearson Educational Measurement will hold four regional Writing Trainings January 23, 29, 30 & 31.

These trainings are a follow-up to the September 2006 Writing Pilot Trainings and October 16-20 Writing Pilot administered in grades 3, 5, 6, 8 and 11. The Pilot was the first time teachers administered the new performance-based event test rather than the portfolio model.

IAA Coordinators and teachers administering the IAA in grades 5, 8 and 11 are encouraged to attend one of the trainings listed below. For more information on the new IAA Writing test, go to the IAA Web site at http://www.isbe.net/assessment/iaa.htm
