Clarifications for the IAA Writing Test
The below bullet points are to highlight key components
of the IAA writing assessment. All of this information
has been sent out on the listserv and can be found on
our website: www.isbe.net/assessment - click on IAA.
- The IAA Writing testing window is April 2-20,
2007 for students in grades 5, 8 and 11.
- Writing test materials
must be ordered through Pearson
Educational Measurement at: www.pearsonaccess.com/il/.
The material ordering window closes January 22, 2007
- For Writing material ordering questions, contact
Pearson at 800/627-7990, State Code 814.
- Because the
new IAA is a secure test, private schools cannot
order materials directly from Pearson. They
must receive materials from the student's home
school.
- The Writing test is totally separate from
the Portfolio for reading, mathematics and science
in grades
3-8 and 11, which must be mailed by February
16 , 2007,
to Measured
Progress for scoring.
