ISAT RULERS for Grades 3-8

If your district has not received rulers or has not received a sufficient supply of rulers, please do the following:

Call Harcourt at 800-763-2306 to let them know how many and which grade levels you need – tell them to overnight them to you.

If you can’t reach Harcourt, or do not trust that the rulers will arrive in time, you may do the following:

If you received some rulers, but you don’t have enough, you may make copies of these and cut them out for students to use during testing, but make sure that the copied rulers are to scale (1 inch = 1 inch) and that they have a leading edge like the rulers that were sent. Use a regular ruler to make sure that they copy machine did not shrink or enlarge these.

If the rulers do not print exactly to scale from the web site, there are 3 solutions to remedy this:

Make sure that when you print, Page Scaling is set to “None”.
Download the latest version of Adobe Reader (link to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html)
Print the rulers and set a copy machine setting to less than 100% to shrink them or greater than 100% to enlarge them.

In all cases, log your time and the materials you are using and send an invoice to ISBE for reimbursement by Harcourt.
