Illinois Alternate Assessment (IAA) Data Review/Item Review

On October 14-16, 2008, ISBE and Pearson are hosting IAA work sessions in Springfield.  We are looking for special education and general education teachers to assist in the 2008 data review (previously field tested tasks) and the 2009 item review of future performance tasks.**  These are the positions we need to fill:

** Reminder: If you wrote IAA items on August 4-5, 2008, you may not participate in reviewing the same items and/or subject.  However, if you are qualified to work in another subject, we would be pleased to include you.  Just let Margie know (see below). 

If you are, or have, teaching and/or administrative staff whom are experienced with significantly cognitively disabled students and are interested in working on the reviews for the Illinois Alternate Assessment, please contact Margie Jobe via email at mjobe@isbe.net.

Pearson, the test vendor, provides hotel accommodations, travel and meal reimbursements, a stipend and reimburses the district for substitute teachers if needed.  Pearson has requested that ISBE send the list of participants to them by September 15, 2008.  Upon receipt of the list of participants, Pearson will contact each person regarding accommodations, reimbursements, etc.
