The board will immediately adjourn to enter into closed session, under the exceptions set forth in the open meetings act of the State of Illinois as follows:
Section 2 (c) (1) for the purpose of discussing information regarding appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of ISBE, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity.

If the public would like to attend the opening of the meeting, they can listen to the opening of the public meeting at either the Illinois State Board of Education, 100 N. 1st Street, Fourth Floor Board conference room, in Springfield or the James R. Thompson Center, 100 W. Randolph Street, 14th Floor, ISBE conference room, Chicago.

The board will immediately go into closed session following opening the meeting in public.

The board will not take any action.
