Teachers, District and School Leaders
Description:
This “jigsaw” activity allows participants to explore and understand the preface to the ELA standards, Appendix A. Participants will gain clarity on the foundational research-base and necessary background on the organization and language of the standards.
Suggested Use for these Documents:
Professional development leader may use to familiarize the audience with Appendix A of the Common Core Standards.
Materials Necessary:
- Copies of each portion of Appendix A
- Markers
- Chart paper
- Sticky notes
