Technology Immersion Pilot Program
The Technology Immersion Pilot Project was an innovative one-to-one laptop initiative implemented in seven school districts throughout Illinois during Fiscal Years 2007 and 2008. Funding was not available to continue the program beyond the initial two years.
The pilot program was designed to promote the integration of technology into teaching and learning through the provision of wireless laptop computers, related software, hardware, staff development, technical support, and other instructional materials to students, teachers, and relevant administrators in participating districts.
