Sallee Beneke
Sallee Beneke is currently a PhD student in Special Education at the University of Illinois and an independent consultant. She provides statewide trainings in the Project Approach, inclusion, authentic assessment, and documentation. Sallee has been a Resource Specialist for STARnet, Kindergarten teacher, director of a lab school, college instructor, master teacher, prekindergarten at-risk teacher, early childhood special education teacher, and childcare center director. Sallee is a frequent presenter at state and national conferences, and she has authored or co-authored four books and published articles on the Project Approach, documentation of children’s learning, science and oral language development, and calendar time in early childhood classrooms.
