Funding Opportunities
This site will help potential applicants navigate the funding opportunities that are available each year through the State Board of Education. This site lists opportunities for competitive grants, formula grants, and contracts. In addition, for the benefit of currently funded grantees a link is also provided to continuation applications.
RFPs are the vehicles used to award grants to eligible applicants on a competitive basis. This link will take you to a list of the grant opportunities that are currently available. You can click on the title of any RFP to review the requirements for the program and the process for submitting a grant proposal.
RFSPs are the vehicles used to award contracts to eligible applicants on a competitive basis. This link will take you to a list of opportunities currently available and instructions for accessing the RFSPs on the Illinois Procurement Bulletin.
Many of the applications for formula grants (i.e., all eligible applicants receive a grant based on a predetermined formula) are on the State Board’s Electronic Grants Management System (eGMS).
Choose the “Formula Applications” link above to review a complete list of formula grant application packages that are currently available. For formula grants for which application is made outside of eGMS, click on the title to view the requirements of the program and the process for submitting an application.
For currently funded grantees only. This link will take you to a chart showing all of the agency's continuation applications that are currently available. Each indicates whether it is available on the respective division’s website or via eGMS.
RFIs are the vehicles used to gather information in order to develop an RFP or RFSP. This link will take you to a list of currently available RFIs.
