The assessments are coded according to standard and stage. Example: 28A.A is aligned to standard 28A, stage A (first year of foreign language study). Sample student work, when available, will follow the assessment.

28A.A - Formal vs. Informal
Indicate whether forms of address in verbal exchanges in the target language are formal or informal. 28B.A - Greetings and Leave Takings
Give an appropriate verbal response to each spoken statement or question in a role-playing interaction.28C.A - Initial Reading
Match phrases or sentences to pictures and listen to sentences read in the target language and match them to the printed versions of those sentences.28D.A - Family Names

Demonstrate understanding of simple geometric shapes and compare them by color and size.30B.A - Basic Professions
Using the target language, identify basic occupations common to the target country(s) and native country.
