Solving the Mystery of the Competitive Bidding Process
These webinars are designed for those Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sponsors who do NOT specifically include summer meals in a year-round food contract with their National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or their Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), but for SFSP sponsors who contract their summer meal services with a total cost of over $100,000. A SFSP sponsor who contracts their summer meal services with a total cost of less than $100,000 can elect to use the informal bidding procedures which are posted on the SFSP website under the Invitation for Bid and Contract link.
Participants will better understand the three-step document submission and review process and receive training in developing Invitation for Bid and Contract documents that meet federal and state regulations and statutes.
The training is presented in two separate webinar sessions and participants should try to “attend” both sessions. All sponsors conducting a new procurement or considering contracting for summer meal services are highly encouraged to participate in the training. Participants must be employees of the sponsor.
Please register for both sessions. To register, click on each one of the following “sessions” (two separate registrations). Registering for only one of the sessions will not enable you to participate in both session(s).
