In 2003, ISBE established a regional system of support to provide technical assistance to districts and schools in academic status.

ROE/ISC School Improvement Support:
For the 2010-2011 school year, each regional office of education and intermediate service center will provide support for Title I schools in Year 1 and 2 of improvement status.
Technical assistance with the development, submission, and implementation of a district or school improvement plan or restructuring plan is available through the Regional Offices of Education and the Intermediate Service Centers (Statewide Directory: http://www.iarss.org/directory/state-map.html)

RESPRO:
Ten RESPRO regional offices (see map and contact list) provide districts and schools in their regions with programs and processes representing best practices. For the 2010-2011 school year, RESPRO services are primarily focused on serving those districts that are in federal corrective action.

Annotated School Improvement Plan and Compliance Check List
Sample school improvement plan with annotated comments related to compliance items as defined by federal and state law. This document was designed to assist RESPRO coaches, ROE/ISC consultants, and school improvement plan teams with the development and refinement of school improvement plans (SIPs).
